The next few days could be rough ones for Dell, the market...

(BTW- Short-term predictions are a fool's game...much better to buy stocks long-term and hold them..having said that, it is sometimes helpful to try to understand short-term events to pick entry/exit points....inconclusive whether or not this really works, IMO)

I wrote to someone last night that it wouldn't surprise me if Dell pulled back $2 today...Worse case scenario, I think we could bounce off of 33 (in the next few days)-200 dma...this is what the technicians want, but, more likely, we will hit 34/35, and maybe stall there..and then rise again....

The one joker is (yet) another analyst coming out (during the quiet period) and making some pronouncement on the industry/Dell/individual companies....I guess the war in Kosovo could also be a joker, although unlikely...

By March 30/31...I will be feeling good again about the market...I have posted often lately (about this), but I think we will be in a good time for tech/overall Naz during April..

I expect MD will do a great job at the analyst meeting in April (2nd week)....Earnings, I think, we will be better than expected at Intel, Compaq...Compaq also has a couple propaganda (shareholders, other) in April...good news should come out of that..

The real danger is a tanking between now and the analyst meeting, and I think, more specifically, in the next few days (before March 30/31)...Starting March 30/31, I think we will see fund accumulation again...I am hoping for Dell to put out a few statements about the quarter over the next few days..I think that would help...

Hasn't anyone noticed that Compaq and Intel have not warned? I'm surprised CNBC hasn't run a special (of course not, that would mean good news for the sector, and they seem reluctant to announce that)...
