It is virtually impossible for small tech companies to be bought out in a hostile bid. If a larger entity attempts to buy the company the key employees leave. The one caveat is when the company owns proprietary technology. If the value of that technology is worth more than the market cap then they could be bought out without regard for the company. Imo we passed that threshold over a year ago with hurricane 3L apex. These assets imo are worth north of $40 M US
