Folks in the know have long contended that Microsoft demands cash tribute for each Windows NT-capable Alpha workstation or server that TCFKAD manages to sell. Whether or not said box actually ships with NT.
CPQ never had to submit to "per system" licensing - the FLP agreement negotiated in 1993 gave CPQ broad rights and great pricing on both Windows and NT. I don't know if Digital as Digital had a per-processor deal. I understand that all of Digital's licensing contracts were rolled in under CPQ's more favorable terms. So one would assume that Alpha NT would be sold under standard CPQ terms, which, as we learned in the DOJ trial, are the most favorable in the industry.

Word has it that the full-fledged 64-bit implementation was accompanied by a 64-bit version of SQL Server.
I have heard that this will be demo'ed both at Microsoft's WINHEC and also at innovate.
