Hey nuke,

You know quite a bit about these systems.
What happened to that Tomahawk cruise that
was launched from the Gonzales yesterday?
The thing started to spin and then crashed
into the ocean 500 yards away from the ship.

How much do you know about the Serb SAM
batteries? Supposidly they have like 12 of
the upgraded SAM-9 systems. Are those radar
guided or passive optical, or both? It seems
that NATO is really nervous about the effective
ness of those SAM sites.

What kind of weapon systems do the Yugoslavian
MIG-29s have? Do they have anything with AMRAM
capability like we do? I would sure like to
know what those dog-fights have been like. The
NATO spokespeople have revealed nothing which
really makes me wonder what happend.

If it costs $16 million to convert the AGM-86C, how much did the original cost?

Hey, I heard a couple of the missiles bill lobbed over at Somalia never exploded. Somalia is closely allied to China. Why are we worried about the spies inside our borders when bill is sending them the technology air mail?

This is good news. NATO's reporting they shot down 2 MiG 29s which ( correct me if I'm wrong ) are the best fighters the Russians or anyone else has got.

1.40 p.m. ET (1842 GMT) March 26, 1999

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) — NATO forces shot down two Yugoslav MiG-29 fighters Friday as they attempted to strike NATO-led peacekeeping troops in Bosnia.

The pilots of the two MiGs were captured in Bosnia-Herzegovina by the peacekeeping forces, NATO spokesman Jamie Shea said.

It was not immediately known if the MiGs were shot down by allied aircraft or from the ground.

NATO air operations were continuing over Yugoslavia, Shea said.
