Thread,
I saw it for the first time today. Yes, SanDisk featured on CNBC. Complete with full screen chart and brief history by oh, what's her name. The one with the blond hair. Marsha? Comments were positive. Next up was Seagate, but I don't think Marsha mentioned the tie between the two companies.

Joe and Thread,

I read an article in Business Week that featured the DIMD (Diamond Multimedia) CEO. He predicted selling 750,000 Rios! this year at $200.00 a pop. That is like $150 million bucks worth of stuff at the retail level. Many people still don't know what .mp3 is.

It would have been sweet to have a CF slot in the Rio!, but I hope that there is more to come in the way of .mp3 sales in the next year or two. Just think of one or two CF/MMC cards with each player purchase and add up the unit volume. Then add digital camera and palm PC aftermarket sales. Then add SmartPhone and mobile dictation system sales. I think it all adds up to a big number.

Good luck to all.
