How do you know that DELL has been paying royalties to IBM?
If so how much are they paying? This information is not in DELL's 10-K or 10-Q.

Hope you have an answer......

tiger -
I would be amazed if DELL was paying ANYTHING to IBM for "basic PC patents". CPQ pays nothing to IBM - in fact IBM pays CPQ royalties in the hundreds of millions annually for IBM use of Compaq Patents. DELL did not do any design which would infringe on IBM patents - if any such infringement occurred, it was done by Intel, and Intel would be liable, not DELL.
