I just realized another confusion. sometimes "average" is used interchangeably with "normal", sometimes it means 100. Okay, then maybe Blacks is right, I don't know...

In educational circles, "low average is the range from about 80-90 with "average" being 85-115 and gifted above 120.
"Normal" can be average but it can also mean a ton of other things, I think (some of which probably are "the norm" but I sure wish were not!)
