But I don't have to be a genius to discount the productivity BS ..

Look to the other nations if you want to see why consumer prices have not risen substantially -- the rest of the world is in a slump and there have been substantial dislocations in the currency exchange rates. A willngness of foreigner's to hold our debt for this reason and some others also plays a part as well as the apparent insatiable appetite the world round for dollar denominated financial assets ... this may be a TEMPORARY phenomena ... hard to imagine, but truth is stranger than fiction
