Euro at new low, eurobourses end mixed

By Peter Griffiths

LONDON, March 26 (Reuters) - Edgy European stock markets closed mixed on Friday after Wall Street began softer, while in currencies the embattled euro fell to another record low.

The Balkan bombing campaign did not seem to be the key factor behind share market moves and analysts said the euro's slippage had as much to do with Europe's poor growth prospects as the Kosovo crisis.

Shortly after European stock trading drew to a close the Dow was down around 10 points or 0.1 percent at 9825, having pulled back from an 80 point deficit shortly after the opening bell.
