I see your point. My point is the outcome (3G is CDMA and Q gets royalties) was predictable. Those who were claiming otherwise either had ulterior motives or were swayed by those with ulterior motives. In my opinion, based upon the fact that CDMA was a better network choice, it would have been rational for the share price of the Q to factor in this near certainty before a "deal" was made. It didn't, so I am obviously wrong.

But I am glad I didn't wait to purchase the Q until the deal was imminent. It is almost impossible to time these things and congratulations to those who did but my guess is there are many more who tried and failed to obtain the returns that a buy and hold strategy yielded.
