Anthony - All the deposit checks sent to you should have the real names on them for your site.

There will not be any aliaises on the site ..we are all going to be family..

I hate aliases. Why do people hide behind nicks?

I am not as sure of this,

<< There will not be any aliaises on the site ..we are all going to be family.. >>

Here is the problem: No matter how hard you try, some spies will get on the site. They can then reveal our IDs. I often contact a company I am looking into by using my real name and company, but then post information under my alias. While you, and many of the other shorts I talk to know my name, I am always concerned that it gets spread to the companies I look at, and I lose my access to them.

Again, I think it imperative that you know who everyone is, but I am not as sure about having that revealed to everyone who is on the site.

Regardless, you know I am on-board and think the site is a great idea, but this is something to consider.

Archer

Re: Aliases on new site

I can think of some legitimate reasons for screen name aliases especially when involving financial matters. Plus, what is more family like than nicknames? As long as you know who someone is doesn't that take care of the credibility issue? I personally prefer transparency but I also see the value in aliases and I favor them but its not a burning issue for me. Anyway, what do you do with someone like Bear Down who actually is a bear? :-)

Best,
