A couple of things:

1) Yes there are many firms focusing on software development services, and many specifically on the Internet. Each day there are more, and it's easy for people to take their skills to another firm. This is a negative for CATP, as it now has an environment that is more likely to induce departures than arrivals. [as i have said in the past, the only way to get positive energy back is major changes at the top]. More competition means less work, lower margins or both.

2) Regarding Robertson Stephens - it is my understanding that they held a significant long position in CATP shares so their buy reccomendation, like most is highly questionable.

3) I believe it is undervalued at it's current price, on the assumption that people do not leave in droves. The problem is that I think people will leave in large numbers unless leadership without integrity is replaced by leadership with integrity.

Time Will Tell.

Rick.

P.S. I also think some of today's price pressure is short term traders exiting position for the weekend, and possibly some end of week forced liquidations. So if you like the company's prospects it seems like a good day to buy. For me, I need indication of Sims and cronies hittin' the road before it's a buy - otherwise I think the news flow will be about departures and high turnover numbers.
