Those of us who have been long term holders believe that it will be. The latest deal with Ericsson changes the dynamics somewhat and will take some time to review, to be objective. We long term holders liken Qcom's strategy to a combination of Intel-Microsoft: concentration on chipsets for cdma infrastructure equipment and for handsets sold to the likes of Samsung, Nokia, Motorola and hopefully Ericy. Microsoft model in regard to the software elements of the chips and the software that makes cdma and wireless aspects of data transmission hum. If you like that model and the company can maintain its lead in cdma, then it could end up being a gorilla in the sense that it will design and sell the important value added component of the cdma wireless world.
