Thank you Mr. Pink,

I regret you feel the need to take a sabbatical. I was short PDX and long Bid.com at one point. While things were not perfect, that was my responsibility, not yours. It has always been a privilege to read your research and I think your absence will deprive us all of one of the great resources available on the Internet.

Nevertheless, I wish you well and thank you for all your contributions in the past. I have made money by following your work and vastly improved my own ability on the short side by trying to emulate some of the quality of your analysis.

If you check my profile you will see a quote from Machiavelli. It basically refers to emulating those people of great talent, and while I may not ever reach that level, by aiming high I can still reach a target far away from where I am now. More than anyone else, Mr. Pink you are the much higher point I have been aiming at in order to improve the quality of my work.

You will be greatly missed, and I look forward to your return,

With highest regards,

Archer

Don't worry, we all know that this market is VERY ABNORMAL now.

I will be looking forward seeing you again.

Dear Mr. Pink,

I hope your time off will be enjoyable and temporary. I believe you perform a valuable service taking out jokers and scam-artists who prey on the less fortunate.

In regards to the most-recent events, as was said in a previous post, we all know what we're getting into. The old sage goes, "Never wrong, often early" and, in time, I think you will be vindicated.

Until then, Happy Holidays.

Sincerely,
Pat

Mr. Pink, it is in times like this that your wisdom is needed most. Please do not run off now. Your humor and good nature are worth a few mistakes. No one calls them right every time, and if it weren't for you and Anthony, I would not have bothered to join SI at all. Now Anthony is going to be utilizing a private site and you speak of going away too?? What are us lemmings to do?? Are you turning off the market alltogether?? I would suspect that a trader such as yourself would get a kick out of the challenges that these crazy markets present. Come on back where you are loved and appreciated thru thick and thin.

Mr. Pink, if you were truly omniscient, you would not be here. I appreciate your picks, and realize you can't win them all the time.

I hope to see you back here very soon. Thanks for everything.

Beware, this is the worst speculative frenzy He has ever seen.....You might miss some short term opportunites but woe unto him who is still holding the bag when the insane music stops.

Thank you for the sage words of wisdom.

I've only gotten into about 1/2 of your long picks and most of those I booked small profits early. PDX falls into the category of "extremly annoying" but hardly fatal, especially considering the trading profits previously realized on it.

Looking forward to the return of a refreshed and refocused Mr. Pink.

Time off will help, your Pinkness. I had to take a break last year after finding myself with more hoof-prints on my person that what I felt were comfortable. While I was off, I contemplated wisdom from a friend - 'In this market, 9 times out of 10, the herd will buy it...no matter what....so hold your nose and buy.' Sadly, he was correct.

Mr. Pink,

I'm saddened by your departure... You've had some spectacular calls. You're a big asset to SI and a strongly needed balance to all the shills, hypsters, hustlers that run rampant here. I can only hope that you'll soon return.

A humble Pinkophile.

Mr. Pink.

After all the timed picks You have given to us, we feel very sad to hear You leave.

He has shown to us to change minds and join the buy side on better than worse times, and His picks easily have beaten out the market performance in a period.
I know few people who are able to admit own shortcomings and are then able to carry on with their good work.

We will miss His sharp comments, especially on certain venture capitalists and consume financers.

Pls, don't let us down!

Have a nice off-time, Mr. Pink.

C.

As some of His picks haven't turned out the good way yet, but as seen from history, each of it may take its time, it may pay off to review those ones which landed in the rough, recently.

Mr. Pink:
First late me say thank You for Bid.com and Cust.

I bet most did as we did and sold only 1/2 of their holdings early on. Please reread Your post, how could You possible be "doing more harm than good" when all had the opportunity to take profits? It's not as if they tanked, right?

I think we all learned when You exited MALL so quickly that You really don't like to play the flying turd too long because You know how quickly they fall (FP for one). Why not adjust the Flying Turd exist strategy a little and sell 1/2 each few points on the way up?

Enjoy Your time off, and by all means don't feel bad because You alone are responsible for most, if not all, of the profits of your followers. But even more so, You're also the reason for the fun and enjoyment this site and way of investing bring to us all. In the last month I think at least 15 friends have said to me how great it was that I turned them on to the "Mr. Pink site" at SI.

We'll all be here waiting for the killer of all Pink picks when you return. I believe both FHT and BII were Your selections when You returned from vacations.

Best regards
Dave

Mr. Pink-

I was moved to pen a few lines of verse in honor of your Sabbatical.

With a smile of Pagan charity great Mr. Pink's visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the bubble go on;
He signaled to the Lemmings, and once more the flying turd flew;
But Mr. Pink still ignored it, and the Crims cried "Screw You!"

"Fraud!" cried the maddened thousands, and echo answered "Fraud!"
But one scornful post from Pink and the SI Crowd was awed.
They saw his posts grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
And they knew that Mr. Pink wouldn't let those Crims go by again.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout;
But there is no joy in SI -- mighty Pink has cashed out.

Come back soon. We'll miss you.

Any other gurus you recommend in your absence?

Mr. X

Your picks are on the right side of the trade at least 90% and have proven to offer high returns is a short period of time. Jeeze, what more could someone want. Besides those that follow your thread understand that your a reformed value investor who has great difficulty in holding on to I-Nut stocks, 90% of which won't be around in their existing form in three years.
In baseball your a slugger if you hit over .300
MP, your damn good having played the market short in Aug/Sept, sensed the shift in mid Oct and jumped into the I-Nut game with value plays.
Hope your not gone long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mad2

Dear MP: We, your ardent and loyal sycophants, allies, friends, lemmings, students, worshipers, and respected colleagues are Big Girls and Boys. We all makes mistakes now and again and hopefully We learn from Them. Therefore, He should not feel badly about the agonizing rise in t3/f rated PDX -- from another view, might He just have been a bit ahead of His time? After all, He said the real fun hasn't even started yet!! So what's to get excited over? Please don't beat Hiself up.... I, as a lurker until this point have greatly appreciated His insights, commentary, recommendations and online countenance in this forum. We wish He and Her a great sabbatical together and look forward to your earliest return.

With best regards and wishes,

Mr. Pink,

Don't be too hard on Yourself. No one can be right all of the time.

Even Bill Wexler finally admitted he is not always 100% right.

If it were not for the valleys, there would be no peaks.

Take your lumps with the rest of us and let's get on with the business of exposing hypesters and crims.

Have fun,
Phil

Mr Pink - rest well and return anew

i have always found Your thread to be one of my favourites - along with a@p's - to name but two. The market is all-knowing and all-powerful. All We poor mortals can do is try to understand it as best We can. who here has not made a bad trade or got caught up in something that never came to pass?

The best that We can do is learn from our experiences - good and bad - accept them and come to terms with our inperfections - and keep moving forward down the road that our objectives and goals lie. Yes, they are there waiting for our arrival. We need the courage to continue striding purposefully down that road - to be sure, there will be stumbles along the way - but We need to contine moving - down my road and Your road - as for all here.

For if we don't know where we are going, any road will take us there. The journey is what matters as the goal when attained is exciting but for a brief moment. What then follows is a reassessment, new goals - and a new road. Never stop moving forward. The goals We set for ourselves are wide ranging - whether material, spiritual, family orientated, catching up on the works of a favourite author, that holiday never taken, that journey never made.

Both You and a@p try to stop us from being our own worst enemies at times - by identifying bloated over-hyped and fraudulant stocks + overbought stocks - many of which are built on sand - that is to be on the short side of the tape. This is a noble calling that many do not understand.

Rest well Sir, refresh, recharge, study and come back swinging.

my best to You and the good Mrs Pink.

Mr.Pink,

It has been said before"if one cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" and I am sure there are some on SI who will think of this as the reason for your sabbatical. Not I. Although we have had some off colour discussions regarding BII.T and your recommendations regarding the t3f rating,I want you to know that your presence will be missed as a source of wisdom and guidance for the many minions who follow your utterances.
Enjoy the break, find inner peace and strength and return anew.

Respectfully and in admiration,

The Osprey

Mr. pink, Come back! All your picks are rocking now!

AGX just reported blow-out numbers in which they beat estimates by 6 cents.

Sabratek is plummetting, and so is PDX.

Maybe it was just that the market is out of synch!

Come back!

Once again Pink strikes again from his sabbatical in the form of PDX.

Arizona and Colorado are looking into PDX's billing?

No...How could such a fine company with no accounting problems be accused of such a thing. I am shocked.

hee hee.
