..which is why I keep my options positions very, very small. They are speculative bets that the market will eventually come around to my view; I can afford to risk a quarter percent or so of my capital betting Dell will go down some more by August, since if it doesn't and I change my thesis, it's no great loss, and if it doesn't, but I still dislike Dell long-term, I can afford to risk a similar amount. And if the stock does come around, x-tupling a small bet gooses my overall portfolio by a nice, pleasant amount.
