AMKR is not alone

AMKR is down about 39% from its peak in the past two months due to two reasons:

1. Its close tie to Anam Electronics of Korea.
2. The general weakness for the semiconductor and PC related stocks, in particular the small stocks.

In this inflated market, a company with a cap less than $10b is considered only a small cap stock. We can see AMKR is not alone from the following list:

Stocks, Down from Jan/Feb peak:

MU -41%
NSM -41%
CPQ -40%
DELL -31%
MXTR -65%
QNTM -40%
WDC -65%
HTCH -61%
SEG -40%
STK -50%

The list apparently includes many large cap stocks with excellent track record. Many are the industry leaders, such as MU, DELL, CPQ and SEG.

With a Capitalization/Revenue of only 0.5, AMKR is a safe play and it will bounce back nicely when market condition changes.
