Insider trading as an indicator to whether a merger is forthcoming or not is a pathetic one. See ASND's insider trading in Nov and Dec 98. Latest reports said that LU and ASND were in talks for a year that intensified after Oct 98. Yet you see so many insiders selling and that caused many to say "Oh, that is bad. There is no deal going on". But we all know what happened in Jan 99.
Perception is not always reality.

As for insider trading, Erib B. sells shares every quarter as
a scheduled sell. He has sooooo many shares, it doesn't matter.
As for the other insiders, most are Ex-USR officers.
