OK. So, I spoke to my buddies who have been long time CTPers. here's the scoop.

1. Jim Simms is not regarded as slimey within the company - they weren't even aware that this was going on about him. Employees follow him like a cult figurehead.
2. Who's the idiot who said that Simms sold a ton of stock a few months ago before the crash? Fact is (and I checked this out personally) that he always sells in his selling window - and last he sold was in Feb - 125K shares - less than what he usually sells. In June, he sold 250K. If anything, this guy sent a message to the market that he'd rather hold than sell. June was close to the peak - so that would explain the 250K sale.
3. The employees within the firm are buying like crazy. They truly believe that the reorganization is doing them good and that they can push for higher growth with the new model - I work in a similar environment, and believe the same - naturally, I'm biased.
4. Whereas in the past, the company has cut costs sharply to meet market expectations, this time, the employees are clearly feeling the additional expenditure - i.e., they feel that the company is NOT cutting costs, and hence that would cut into the bottom line. (That does not take away from the fact that revenues have taken a bit of hit.)

Prognosis, I think I'm going ot buy more of this puppy on Monday - especially if I can get it at below 11. Worst case, this one moves up to 13 and sits there a while. But if they beat market's revised expectations even slightly, they'll go up a lot.

Someone please react.
