don't feel bad Bama, they forgot Larry Voyles too. with his multiple personalities i'm sure he would have won hands down, there are so many Larries to pick from. hey, you don't think this contest is fixed, do you? no, how could i even think that, after all Druss is running it. whew, i was worried there for a minute. by the way, i get the impression you don't want a yank, surprising indeed, but can you explain what must know how to tree a coon with out a dog means? foxy

Reb, Marrying a Yank ain't so bad...it prevents one from mellowing. I found myself mellowing towards Yanks to the degree that I married one. It definitely inflamed my southern ardor. I might eventually get over the War for States Rights....I might get over Sherman....I might get over the carpet-baggers....but I will never be able to forgive a people that bred the wolf. Hell no, it ain't over... But I have hopes that she is getting to the stage that she is no longer an embarrassment. She was talking on the phone and I noticed that she has developed a more correct way of speaking....she had a drawl and used, 'Little, ol' me?' in a sentence. I was so proud that I hurled into a potted plant. When she said, "Hush ma mouth", I reached a state of retching that I had not visited since I misjudged the lift-off rate of a flock of buzzards on the highway and smacked one at about 80 MPH. (I understand where 'Puke like a buzzard' originated...now. The only safe thing to do in such a situation is to torch the pickup and go buy a new one...trust me - I know.) lee
