Rocketman,

I have lurked for months on this thread, and have enjoyed all posts, including ahhaha's. It matters not to me if he's short, long, intermediate, or just playing the thread as some sort of cosmic joke. He manages to stimulate more discussion than anyone else, and along with Frank seems to know/understand more about the cable business than others here. His depressive outlook is certainly puzzling, though, as he stated in the not-so-distant past that ATHM would go to 28,000 and that anyone who held 100 shares of T or ATHM would be rich. Your comment about him being a great contrarian indicator was an echo of something Grace recently posted.

I have my own formula of contrarian indication:

Alan Abelson (Barron's) + ahhaha = market direction [NOT]

When both of them decide that the market is heading up is the time for everyone else to bail.

Long ATHM since 21 on George Gilder's recommendation. Won't sell for any reason for at least five years -- unless this weekend's Barron's has Abelson saying how undervalued the market is.
