neelu...re: buy/sell dell...38/40

not trying to lead you into options...but if you are intent on short term scalping...an options position is an enhancement and can afford a downside hedge, while capping the upside beyond your desired exit point....

better yet if you believe dell near a bottom...then why not have courage of conviction, until the fundamentals prove you wrong,.. stay in for the long term ride...case in point, which i repeat oh so very much...10/8/98...dell gaps down 22 points on open to 41.25...closes day at 48...buy at the high of that tenuous day at 48...stock runs to 110...splits now at 38....but your 48 is double shares and cost is 24...close to a 60% return in six months not bad...and why will it not repeat...that is the question....long term investors never lose...new investors who only know the past few years expect triple digit returns....shoot for 15-18% percent per annum, like some of us do...and you will be surprised what wealth you can accrue.....good luck..ed a.

if you want to learn options...read "leaps"..by roth..easy reading, not heavy on math, but useful...
