Michael, you wrote: That is the future for SI (for better or for worse; there are some features which this site could use, and it's free, and it has real-time quotes, and bid and asked, and ignore that poster, but it has ads), or the future looks dim for it.

I hate to be critical, but this is not a well structured sentence. I'm not going to break down all the problems in the sentence you wrote, but rather ask you what exactly were you trying to say. My guess is that you are saying that Raginig Bull has some good features, and that SI could use them. Or are you saying that while Raging Bull is free, there are some features it could use? And what exactly does the clause "ignore that poster" refer to?

As for ads, I've heard rumors that SI has them, too, but I'm not sure where or how many as I don't get any due to my ad blocker, Atguard.

Carl

OT--Michael...I beg to disagree. I think the two sites operate very differently. This one, which requires you to pay a nominal amount to participate, and which has a no-frills front page, attracts a higher level of serious investors--and has already established that reputation so can build on it easily--has much more dense and productive content in its threads than Raging Bull. I'm often on the Dell thread for instance, and I'm sure that some of the best posters there would never be interested in Raging Bull. They want colleagues of their own ilk.

I think SI is nique and its message board template/architecture is more sophisticated than any other out there--the inbox, the PMs, and so on...

Just my impression anyway
