Hi,
Well, DT-RIM's job is to inform you in realtime of unusual activities on a stock, but how to then exploit this situation depends on each traders specific set of trading strategies. We mentioned a few basic strategies in the Online Help with examples.
Once you again have a realtime datafeed running,
we suggest that you just watch the signals RIM is generating and enter "paper-trades" into RIM's Portfolio management, AS IF you buy long (or sell short) a stock mentioned in RIM's studies and then follow the market to gather experience WITHOUT LOOSING A PENNY!
Once you have found you strategy then go for it...!

Cheers,

I have been using RIM software for the past month, and it has paid for itself many times over with winning trades. I am a "momentum" trader, and use RIM to identify those stocks whose volume and price gain is unusual. After things settle down at 10:00, I look at the RIM "ranking" study which list stocks with high marks for volume and price movement. I make a list of these, and do DD and look at the recent charts to try to determine the reason for the movement. If I like the results and the chart, I buy the stock.

The best advice I was given is if it drops a bit sell it, or if I goes up, ride it for a 10% gain.

Anyways, that is how I use RIM. I am thinking of getting an additional monitor to attach to my system, so I can watch RIM, and do DD and trade on the main monitor.

Just my method using RIM.
