If we don't do it, who is going to do it? This internet thing is going at warp speed. There is no room for a conservative approach at that speed. We'll just get flattened. I already see my neighbors taking up my idea and trying to figure out what other players they could get together with to scoop this thing. I live in the middle of Silicon Valley. There is only one other place in America that has the sort of energy (greed if you will, it's been this way since I was a kid, that mad concentration on being better than the neighbors, having more, and showing it off): 47th Street in New York, the diamond district. I'm saying I have been in crash mode in my life more than one time. Enough times to recognize it when I see it coming a long way off. This is one of those times. This baby is going to fly or crash, it is not going to glide gently into prosperity.
