Hi Roger General Magic updated their employment opportunities list on March 23rd. I thought the following two positions were interesting. Both relate to Telco's. Telco Engineer Responsibilities:In this role, you will interface with Telco's in setting up service, ordering service, testing lines and accounts and ensuring timely delivery. You will be involved in problem resolution, escalation and setting up process by which this is accomplished. You will also aid in troubleshooting of problems involving telephony-server incompatibilities. Qualification: 4-6 years experience working with Telcos, Leeks, long haul carriers and Sip's is required. Familiarity with telephony protocols, T1 and ISDN interfaces, and other types of signaling is required. Familiarity with internet and IP connectivity, Windows NT 4.0, Voice Recognition software and Web applications is required. You must have a basic understanding of PC servers and networking. Product Manager (Telco and Special Opportunities) Responsibilities:As Product Manager, you will author product requirements, develop technical market collateral and interface on a day-to-day project activities with development. Qualification: You must have at least 4-6 years experience in product marketing. I'm not sure if this is a new posting but I found it of value. Internet Developer Responsibilities: As Internet Developer, you will help design and implement the web interface for existing and future General Magic products. You will be involved in both client and server side development. Qualification: You must have 5+ years experience in OOA/D with Java and/or C/C++. Either application or server experience is required. Experience with sockets, distributed computing, client/server, servlets, multi-threading, HTML, JavaScript, GUI design and implementation in a non-MFC environment, database, IIS, UNIX is a plus. IMAP4/POP3 protocol is also a plus. Straight Up
