Re: Projections

I think your timeframes are way too conservative. Recall that at Comdex Ed Newman was quoted as having been surprised by the walk-up sales and mentioned something to the effect that they didn't expect the consumer market for wearables to appear for another two years. Then there is the Boston Globe article which mentioned that XYBR was "working on" a $500 wearable (something XYBR does not deny). Based on these clues plus the general progress of computing technology we've seen to date, it seems to me that we'll be seeing $500 wearables aimed at the consumer space by late 2000/early 2001. This is a technology that will see very rapid development over the next two years.

The major accomplishment next week will be finally getting around the "pending 4Q98 earnings" news blockage. This should pave the way for more substantive news leading up to the 1Q99 report. XYBR has indicated their desire to accelerate their financial reporting so we can hope that the 1Q99 report will be out in April rather than on May 15th.

>>>I suspect (purely my opinion) there will be two new

>>>Alpha wearable, next will be the new MA-V.

I've changed my mind about the MA-V scenario. An enhanced version of the MA-IV will be released instead. Tooling amortization will dictate this. (Just my opinion.)
