Isn't anyone concerned that XYBR has yet to announce 1 contract of significance since the product line has been on market?

Yep.

However, I'm also hoping against hope that we're going to see something of that nature prior to or the same day of the upcoming earnings release.

They have mentioned names (i.e. Phillip Morris, Mercedes Benz) in past material (please don't ask me where I saw it), but I don't remember any specific information regarding the deals.

Mike (so much for last night's hunch)

I became very concerned about the silence in Dec 98 when I owned warrants. I've since converted to common shares and recognize that Xybernaut management has a tendency to be silent in certain areas. (I still believe warrants will likely be the better bargain in the end. I'm just not willing to deal with the worry.) Presently, I look at the product, the clients, and the patent position and see a very interesting future potential.

Anyhow, next week will hopefully mark the moment when we can think of Xybernaut not as a pre-revenue start-up, but as a revenue producing growth company.

As far as the $500 wearable, I still don't see where individual component costs can be brought to this level without major sacrifices. Xybernaut's patent strength lies in "full function wearable PCs", not in stripped-out limited function wearable tablets. I look forward to seeing the price drop, but don't see Xybernaut products beating out laptop PCs for pricing in the near future.

As an analogy: What were laptop PC price ranges three years ago? Two years ago? A year ago? I believe Xybernaut will be forced to follow a similar pricing path: Overall performance will increase significantly as time passes, but the cost will drop slowly. I believe we will see a $500 laptop PC a year before we see a $500 wearable PC. And 1999 is only the year of the $500 desktop PC.

As usual, I'm not necessarily writing facts. Just my opinions.

Shoe.
