Thanks for your reply. Your point on the timing of the sale is a good one. In thinking that over, I'd have to agree with you -- emotion and perception are critical and maybe they point in the wrong direction (i.e. it doesn't pass the smell test). I just didn't want to paint all insider sales as inherently bad events/signals and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one...

I, too, remain long and cautious.

BTW, that 4% stake means DW carries a nice $2B stake in CMGI. Not bad.

Does anyone else have small kids who watch "Arthur" on PBS? Every time someone mentions David Wetherell in a post as DW, all I can think of is th opening theme song to that show -- "Hey! DW!!" <g>

The inference made on CNBC regarding DW taking profits was not at all positive.. the commentator suggested there could be a negative reaction on Monday... But I think investors are more focussed on the upcoming IPO's .. stock should stay firm on this, I think.
