I posted about this one awhile back. I use Atguard, from atguard.com

It is free for 30 days, after that $30. There are shareware versions as well. I haven't tried it, but someone mentioned junkbusters.com but I don't even know if it is a valid link.

In my opinion Atguard is a must have program because it does much, much more. It can block cookies on a site by site basis. It can prevent your browser from revealing your email address. It can block refer requests. It can block java and active-x applets at your discretion, again on a site by site basis. It can prevent your browser from revealing what version and browser it is. It is a personal firewall.

Plus it has a dashboard you can display to see what it is doing. I just brought it up, and so far on this internet connection it has blocked 112 ads, 469 cookies, and 36 refer requests.

I don't know if a Mac version is available. I'm sure if you look around you can find something similar.

Carl

If you find a Mac version - please let me know
It's always nice to find someone else who likes to drive the more upscale model ! - but you'll never convince the Windows plebeian types that Mac is the better, faster, more efficient, more stable....etc...etc...etc... platform
