I went to the rap party for Swingers in L.A. --knew Vince V. Those guys made that movie for next to nothing, then tried to get the rights to use the Jaws theme in it. They knew someone at Amblin, which is Spielberg's company who got Spielberg to consider letting them use the theme because the movie was almost like a "student project" (producer was just out of UCLA) Spielberg actually looked at it and liked it. The rest is history. He also put Vince V. in "Lost World".

Actually wondered if you ever considered financing promising film ventures like "Swingers". Huge potential in it. I have some friends who do this. They get someone like Michael Madsen to work on the film for a day or two, and pay him under the table about 15-20g's/day... They make the film for about 300g's then sell it around the world for around 1 - 1.5 mil. They don't work too hard. One of them actually just won the L.A. independent film festival. Now everyone is calling him.
