Slugger, is this info relevant when talking about natural proteins or say hormones produced by the body? How about a protein used by ALL mammals for defense against bacterial infections? What if you could genetically express that protein? Would a protein like that be worth as much as say hormones like estrogen, thyroid, etc? How about Insulin, would it be worth as much as insulin? I could be wrong but I think a couple of guys in New York might someday win the Nobel prize for discovery of this protein called BPI. Has any other protein even come close to the amount of collaborations put forth by BPI from awe of the discovery of its crystalline structure to various animal research models? It is a crying shame that this protein is in the hands of a company that has a history like Xoma's! Just a real crying shame.
