Thanks Peter!

Not to find or identify other killer apps, but very useful apps, search engines were a hot commodity too and made many who owned SEEK, LCOS and XCIT stock 2 years ago very rich!

Video and audio streaming is also a hot commodity. RNWK could be purchased for $15/share Jan98 and has gone as high as the $140's per share this month!! WOW! Cable, wireless and satellite access to the internet are other hot technologies (maybe not apps). BTW, I just now realized that Datek has real-time quote streaming for up to 20 symbols at a time, with color to identify bids/asks movements and high/lows as they happen. Really cool stuff, and its FREE if you open an account-- don't even need cash deposit! The little guy finally gets some help, without gouging their wallet!

So, now we'll moving into Wave 2, where directory trees, network managment, prioritizing people/flow of data, identifying like communities/individuals, and scalability and security in a robust package to allow businesses to flow FAST, seemlessly and eCommerce to be an everyday activity. Of course Eric hasn't forgotten the Individuals too, they will be able to experience the benefits of these Zen's as Novell penetrates into ISP's and other network centers.

GO!

QuadK

<<As for the killer app theory, the WWW was the reason the INTERNET reached the masses. That means any component of the web (HTTP, HTML, the browser) all play a role in this.>>

Interesting thoughts, thanks for your perspective.
