I'm surprised that you say that because I did scoop Hindery. Got no congrats from the useless dregs here.

ATHM has growing problems in all quarters as I have extensively characterized.

What is to prevent Cox from jumping now that the schism is widening? ATHM is TCI's toy. What money is T earmarking for Cox? TCI is favored by T's investment and since there are no fiefdom barriers in the broadband arena, TCI is free to compete in Cox's backyard. Some clown said that the FCC hadn't created a de facto market in broadband, but the clown was wrong. That's exactly what allowing the T-TCI merger did. Clown didn't understand that because clown hadn't read the thread and hadn't done homework.

Meanwhile back at the ranch the XCIT deal is nothing but a disaster which the company is covering up. Log onto Excite and you can prove it to yourself. What could you do with that is like what can AOL do with Netcenter. Netcenter! If you like "Variety", you'll love Netcenter.

Then there is the importance of brand. How good is TCI's brand? T is making a major mistake by not dissolving TCI completely and immediately to destroy all evidence that there was such a "brand". Armstrong is committing a Malone-Hindery mistake. He will admit it later and then you can tell me I scooped him like I did Hindery twice.

And then you have to consider that TCI is still emphasizing digital tv because their take with it is greater than their take with ATHM and at the same time their net is lower because cable modem has substantially high overhead. All the way up most practical observers could not see ATHM or saw it with a lot of doubt. See Frank Coluccio's many posts. They still can't and the fabric has deteriorated.

In order to comprehend my remarks to a certain extent you have to know the company. That's why throughout the 6,000 posts in ATHM thread you'll find my continuing entreaties to read the thread thoroughly. I even used to say that it should be Jerm's first read in the morning, but I can see that that isn't necessary in this CEO's office.
