The U.S. Air Force and Navy is by far the most advanced
in the world, so it seems feasible that they carry the
brunt of the air attack.This is NATO,however,not the U.N.
Traditionally,when ground troops enter(in a a peace
keeping capacity) the bulk of them will be from European
nations.By not getting involved,NATO would only be
delaying the inevitable. JMO
