What value does that article or comment have for this thread or LU shareholders? If there were any improprieties, LU would not have been allowed to take advantage of pooling of interest policies and the deal going through now would certainly not be approved. They certainly would not have been able to recover the billion dollars last quarter that they had overpaid in taxes. You also seem to believe that the economy is not in a healthy state of affairs. Just yesterday the fed came out saying that moderate growth and contained inflation were in synch and are expected to remain so through 2000. My bet goes with them. They have done extremely well in keeping their finger on the pulse for the past several years and if had taken my money off of the table 4 years ago waiting for the inevitable "bursting of the bubble", I would not be up 500% now. It is all not a conspiracy. I respect well thought out opinions, so if you have any actual data to back up your statements (and I am not talking about historical events, since we all know the facts..base it on real time info), that might be appreciated.
