Haim,

General Winter, the Russians, many partisan movement in addition to the UK, Australians and other nationalities turned the tide well before the US joined the war.

Prior to US intervention, the countries involved could not have taken the war to Germany itself. The English commonwealth could not have mounted a second front in europe without the US. Without the second front to take pressure off the russians, they would not have carried the war into Germany....My statement was that Without the US the War could not be WON. No statement was made about the relative time spent in the war, nor do I consider the point relevant to the toppic of winning, except to make my point about the relative strength of the various countries at the time of success.

As to all the other points about gas chambers and Indians....I was not discussing any such topics and don't see how they fit in a discussion about Winning WW2. I enjoy your contributions to this thread and can only conclude that you feel strongly about many social issues which you apparently assume I feel differently. Trust me, I was not addressing any of them!<grin>

Have a good one,

Steve
