Gates: Push Technology on Employers

Interesting article at sjmercury.com about a recent speech given by Bill Gates.

XYBR investors should note the following quote:

Gates, promoting his new book in a speech at Georgetown University, predicted that the next major high-tech advances will involve wireless networks, tablet-sized computers, speech recognition programs and software to let people collaborate on electronic documents.

Question: What's the difference between XYBR at 5 and XYBR at 25? Answer: Having Bill Gates change "tablet-sized" to "wearable" in that quote. It will happen. Moore's law will not be denied.

>>>If you substitute a HMD I believe you'll see wearables

O.K., I'm not at all familiar with OEM pricing of the large LCD panels. But that brings up another gripe. I want to know more about the HMD (Head Mounted Display). I think Xybernaut needs to put more info on their web page. Tech details like HMD optical train geometry and theory, fashion dos and don'ts, battery life, and I/O details would definitely appeal to me. Part of the reason I'm not even MORE interested in the MA-IV is that I don't want to buy one only to find the audio I/O might be sub par (11KHz/mono/8 bit max analog input for instance), or the parallel port might be an old single direction thing, or the Xyberbus/Xyberslot (I forget it's exact name) might be compatible only with Atari game cartridges. I'm sorry, but the fact is geeks (like people I met on my trips to Radio Shack, Acme Electronics, Midwest Electronics, and ABC Surplus this past week) want to know this stuff before they run the risk of picking a product that's not worth souping up.

Just my opinion.
