mike, this boom has been REALLY sweet for many people. man, it has been GOOD for those folks with stock options. some CLERKS are MILLIONAIRES.

Not necessarily, if only a few stocks participate in the boom these stocks could use their currency to somehow create value by buying undervalued stocks or private companies; look at Columbia HCA or Clear Channel Communications. (That doesn't seem to be the case with the current market.) If its an entire industry, like the internet, it definitely leads to a bust because the economics of most companies are dependent on easy money in so many ways.

PE of 100 on the Nasdaq 100. Seems rather high to me. Where do you get this data. thanks.

Also (second that comment on Howard Schilits book) By the way, does he have a web site, I can not seem to find it if he does
