JS : I don't read Armstrong sufficiently to comment but I agree with you about Kaplan. In fact, since 1996, he was bullish for gold and for SAf gold shares --- right through the bear market --- and, it seems, he still is bullish. He's been wrong for so long that, today, I don't even want to know his opinion. (With all due respect to John who quoted him). I would go so far as to say, like vronsky of Gold Eagle, Kaplan's just another "gold pumper"!

I commend you for your critical observation.

"We can speculate all we want about why gold is so weak but the truth is that's it's weak and not until there's a sufficient groundswell of support will it rise."

Where was gold the weakest?

Augst or Jan?

And where is it going?

As you said, Armstrong is more accurate then Kaplan.
