Wayne, I've been handicapping races for many years but always looking to learn more. Was referring to speed v. closing and outside v. inside posts. For example, for 6f or lower don't want inside posts at Hollypark for the most part unless you have speed to shake loose, not true at Santa Anita or Del Mar - Also, speed sticks at Hollypark better than it does at Santa Anita. Know the general biases for most of Cal. tracks but know little about others. I too tried to make handicapping my job many years ago but found it as much if not more work than anything else - I was a bridge jumper at one time - would bet major $s to show - but stomach couldn't take it and it was a very stupid way to go.
