Indeed, the Serb leaders are hated in most European places. As the Europeans really wanted to solve this "conflict" without aggression for years but poorly failed in doing so, Mr. Milosevic doesnt't understand a different language than bombing Beograd.

Don't anyone here remember the pictures of humiliated and beaten men in the concentration camps of Keraterm and Omarska, the rows of imprisoned and raped women in Serb "Tschetnik" camps, made pregnant by Tschetnik soldiers in order to humiliate their own tribe. ....???

CNN sent those pictures around the world years ago. What was done indeed: nothing to force Milosevic down, besides diplomatic efforts, which I treated ambitious and honest. Sure it is very sad that those efforts have not led to a final terminationof the Serb agressions against innocent people.

To emphasize that: It is not an American case, it is in the interest of central Europe. We can't see any comfort in having a hazard in the south of Europe, like the Serbs are.

C.

Yeltsin--As the saying goes "he's our baboon". Which Baboon in Russia would you prefer who has a chance of getting in?

At least we know Yeltsin hasn't got the dough to pay off the Democratic National Committee.
