You left off Steve Harmon in your list of analysts.... one guy I have a lot of respect for, because he goes out on a limb. Not just with this stock but others... he looks at the space etc. I just wish people would quit wasting time asking him about BB stocks on his thread, he'll be gone before long.

sgt-long answer,i agree that one needs to find some way to try and value internet stocks and one must be creative when looking at new industries like internet commerce,no complaint on that.when any of us who have been around(too long-G-) try to do that we can't justify the VALUE OF THE BISINESS which does not mean the validity of the business.big difference. historically when values have gotten so out of hand and speculation has gotten this intense(look at breathless over stock splits and anything.com) it has LED to big trouble.maybe this time will be different but it never has been.one of my favorite expressions is - the difference between a great company and a great investment is the price you pay for that investment.i.e the value that you hadicap the business to be worth matters .price balances risk and reward.these ideas have been lost NOT because they don't work or matter but because we have had such a great economy and stock market for such a long time folks have dropped their guard and gotten careless.anyway even us old guys see things are changing( i have been involved with GNET since 1996) we just don't think the price(speaking generically not about GNET specifically)being offered is anywhere close to realistic. it is not senility but RESPECT for the markets ability to make AND lose one lots of money.hope that clarifies things.

He should attempt to evaluate them, see if they fit into their own distict analysis pool (Just like the Cable Co. in the 80s -- where do you think EBIDTA came from?).

SS, and where do you think EBIDTA came from and why it was originally used? And what do you think it is being used for today?
