100m is plenty of cover below a lake. If I remember correctly, the exploration declines (tunnels) up that way have had no troubles in the granite with ground water. When they broke into the pipes though there was trouble because the kimberlite led straight into the lakes above. I've talked to a fellow who had a hellish time trying to grout the inflows off. This should not be the case for a dyke with lots of granite between it and the lake bottom providing they are properly grouting off the diamond drill holes.
