jim: You "warned" that in the 4Q COMPAQ would make 22 cents a share. It made 43 cents.

You "advised" that DELL was a good buy at $110. It has fallen about $40 after that advice.

You attempted to validate your "warnings" and "advice" on the basis of IDC reports which, you said, were objective and more trustworthy than the statements coming from CPQ. The other day, when you read an IDC report that did not agree with your bullish case for DELL and your bearish case for COMPAQ, you said IDC reports were not worth the money and they were plain wrong.

I don't understand why people who have no investment in CPQ hang about this thread. There are hundreds of others to inhabit. But now you are here perhaps you will advise whether you think the Paine Webber thesis, if true, is particularly alarming for DELL given its heavy dependence on higher price PC's in the commercial market and its lack of other significant revenue streams to fall back on.
