George The Chevron refinery fire in California is producing shortages of gasoline in the west, other refineries will ship prodn to California. That is why gas prices are now going up so rapidly. You wi;; feel the effect in Florida as the markets adjust.

George : Gas prices in SAf, where I live, haven't risen one cent --- clearly because taxes etc represent the major component of the price.

But in California, where Tom lives, prices are, according to him, up by 30%. Rip off, or not, he says that's what EXXON is charging.
