Jim, I know you have a lot of Dell and its hard to know what to do right now.... I'm with you though in that I think there is room for Dell to grow, perhaps not at the prior torrid pace, but nonetheless somebody has to emerge as the leader in hardware at imo that has to be Dell. As you know I think Sun is a loser from a mfg standpoint and in the end (once you strip out the fluff - Java etc), that is where Sun will have to compete and they will lose against Dell.

Nonetheless it is apparent the momo money is leaving Dell for now and that is having an effect.... I'm going to dig up some old charts this weekend of Cisco in 1994 timeframe because I think there may be some similarities... Cisco fell that year if I recall but obviously continued upwards eventually - maybe that will happen to Dell. Why Sun is rising is beyond me... maybe the pesky DOJ/Msft issue?
