Stands to reason that EBAY would want to expand to Canada where tastes, spending habits, goods/services are similar (unfortunately!).
Think about it, EBAY would instantly establish a foothold in a wealthy(?) country of 30 million citizens and with NO competition whatsoever. And for how much? If the $18. USD rumours are correct, a paltry billion or so!!

I think Mr. Knoll of EBAY who controls 25% of the company and being a good Canuck would like to come back home to roost. No greater satisfaction than to return home on your chariot and hailed as the triumphant victor.

These takeover rumours have been too persistent and uniform for investors to dismiss entirely especially as they are being reported in very reputable news agencies (WSJ).

Could anyone enlighten me as to when and precisely what Godin said regarding an announcement coming out next week?
