OT - Chuzzlewit: Re Buffett: <<Try thinking in terms of insurance companies -- like GEICO.>>

Exactly Chuz. GEICO did to the traditional auto insurance market what Dell has done to the PC market. Went direct to the consumer, cut out a layer of costs, passed on the savings, and took a lot of market share away from the traditionalists. Buffett saw it early and capitalized.

He saw the worldwide brand power in Coke. Bought it early and big. Big gains.

Bet big and won on Wells Fargo.

Dairy Queen.....Fails to excite me as a brand. Doesn't seem to offer opportunity to change the delivery model for competitive advantage. I may be missing an edge that Buffett sees.

But maybe it is just plain dirt cheap on a cash flow basis. If that is all that is going on in the decision to buy, I am a little disappointed, having come to expect more from a great and visionary investor.
