Howard:

One more comment.... you'll learn about the contributors to SI biotech as you hang around. We have many molecular biologists, organic chemists, developmental biologists, neurologists, immunologists, etc. contributing here. In addition, we have non-scientists busting their butts to contribute on the research end, collecting data and lending help from several different disciplines. The analysis is, to my knowledge, the best available.
However, there are also seductive threads here where the companies are largely scam, or where they are at least trying to promote garbage while throwing a large net for better stuff. It's an ongoing problem in biotech, as the sector's CEOs have not been able to label/highlight the crap that taints the sector.

It would be worth your time to study the past year's contributions by Peter Suzman, Jim Silverman and Vector1, and to familiarize yourself with those strategies that have been winners as second- and third-tier biotech got clobbered.

Your timing is, IMO, appropriate. Morale is about as low as it can go. We have recently begun to lose some of the most devoted of investors from SI's second generation of biofreaks. Must be time to invest.
