Doug, you are right and short term I am very concerned. The SOX has broken as well, and I am afraid that CYMI will follow suit. I have a target of $16 before the end of June, and hopefully there about will be the low on this mini cycle, but you never know. I do not have a lower target because I think that we are not going to a have a secular downtrend, just a minor seasonal one. The long term drives for this stock, IMHO, are still in place (namely reduction of design rules), on another thread I read that the lead times at ASM are lengthening, I have no confirmation of that, but if it is true, that means that good times should not be too far out.

Technically the stock appears to be acting great and we are quite likely on the cusp of breaking to new high ground. Take a look at the stock in this chart and note:

Notice how the stock formed a basing bottom right before leaping upward to new high ground on Dec. 29. Also notice how the stock is forming a parallel basing bottom right now. The similarities between the EOM December and EOM March are eerie.

Quite likely we are seeing window dressing by some very stretched Bear funds and hedge funds (ie Fleckenstein?). The pressure must be growing exponentially to get out and they're desperately doing anything to hold the line to not lose investor funds (a definite scary possibility for a short) by holding the stock down on reporting day.

It is also interesting to plot the investor sentiment parallels from posts around Dec. 29 and now. It is also eerie in its similarity. Compare the post below from Dec. 29 (right before the stock kited upward) with some of the posts today. Doom and gloom predictions right at the wrong time.
